Written for Cinquain Poetry Prompt #1.
Our inspiration word is “new”.
This in my Cinquain.

untouched
gleaming promise
as dawn softly unfurls
fresh hope with chances still unknown
new day

I just watched the FBI episode A New Day last night where the rogue terrorist group Forefront working for the Chinese government has infiltrated the FBI.

A very special time of they beautifully put into words.
The Moody Blues is easily my favourite band after The Beatles, and you picked a perfect track to accompany your poem. I think I’ll play it again!

Lovely words, lovely music, and a link to the tragic story of Adelaide Crapsey, about whom I have written. Perfect.

The verse is my creation and the song was my idea but the mention of Adelaide Crapsey was included in our prompt for this new challenge. I was not familiar with her before learning about the cinquain; tragic is an appropriate word. I’m pleased to know you enjoyed my post, Clive. Thank you!

I’ve posted a couple of times with poetry for November, my least favourite month. She wrote a very poignant poem about it, when she already knew she was dying. A brave woman.

I don’t recall reading your posts about Adelaide.
So much loss, sadness and illness in her young life. She had many privileges in life but was unable to see them through; who knows what more of an impact she would have made had she lived. Thanks again, Clive.

It’s incredible when I think of all the different posts we read every day; after a while, they all start to become a big blur! That was just a few months ago and I commented on it but just now it felt like I was reading it for the first time. Excellent write with lovely poetry.

I wouldn’t have expected you to remember it. I had to look it up myself! Thank you, there are some nice poems in there, aren’t there.
