Written for Esther’s “Can You Tell A Story In…..?
#283” – exactly 38 words using the five required prompts:
‘operation’, ‘attract’, ‘vanilla’, ‘pram’ and ‘quack’.
In 38 words, this is my very short story.

A young woman needed an expensive operation.
She filled her baby’s pram with vanilla-scented flowers to sell, hoping to make money to pay the quack doctor.
Sadly, all she did was attract the police who shooed her away.

It started out so well!
You got me wondering what I would have done with those unrelated words – I gave up!

These words were harder than I realized, especially when trying to make a joke out of them. I finally found something that worked …. and that song! Oh my! Thank you, D!

Thanks, Esther! I don’t mind telling you, these words were not easy; I was tempted to go for a joke, but it just wasn’t working for me. I’m very please this story turned out well and you enjoyed it. Thanks so much!

Seemed like a good plan. Too bad it didn’t work out. But then again, if the doctor was quack, maybe it’s for the best that she didn’t get to see him.

You might be right about that. Doctors!
Another thing you’re right about: these words were not easy. Thanks, Fan!
