Weekend Challenge using the word
“sinuous”. This is my take.

The adorably pudgy bear cub, all fluff and clumsy paws, plunged into the icy stream. A flash of silver, a darting tail …. the salmon! He grunted, nose twitching, and lurched forward, showering water and scattering pebbles everywhere. The fish snaked left, then right, mirroring the frantic sinuous dance of the stream. The cub splashed, a miniature brown whirlwind. The salmon, sleek and agile, teased him onward. He swiped, missed, and tumbled head-over-paws, sputtering. Undeterred, he scrambled up, eyes still locked on his watery prize. The hunt wasn’t about catching the fish, not yet. It was the exhilaration of the chase.

Someone give that poor Yogi a fly rod, Bears gotta eat too. I once caught a catfish with my hands, no rod, no nothing, just grabbed the critter in the creek. I didn’t know that his top dorsal fin could impale me, which is what he did to my left hand. A hard lesson learned, but I can eat my weight in Catfish filets. I like your Bear and his resilience.

That sounds like quite a fishy story, Phil! I didn’t know catfish had dorsal fins! Oh, but I do love to eat catfish, fried up in a nice po’ boy makes for a mighty fine lunch! Bill’s an angler, only saltwater, so he catches blackfish, flounder, sea bass, etc. No deep sea fishing but he brings home some real beauties, all clean so I don’t have to!
Nice to know you enjoyed my story. Thanks, Phil!
