Ovi Poem

Of Brighter Days

Written for Ovi Poetry Challenge #92.
This week’s inspiration word is
“bridge”. Keeping with the year’s
theme of positivity, this is my Ovi.

In hearts of valleys deep and wide
Where shadows linger, fears reside
I’m strong with you here by my side
My protector

A bridge stands tall, a mighty span
As rivers raced and swiftly ran
A sentinel of each new plan
My strength

Above the storms that rage below
Beneath their feet a promise flows
Of brighter days as embers glow
My hope

From dawn to dusk its tale is told
Of journeys made and hearts consoled
The bridge endures, both vast and bold
My comfort

So walk this path despite the doom
In fields of green where blossoms bloom
A future carved from pasts’ dark gloom
My beacon
