Ovi Poem

Carpe Diem: An Ovi

Written for Ovi Poetry Challenge #90.
This week’s inspiration is “opportunity”.

Keeping with the year’s theme of positivity,
this is my Ovi.

Pick yourself up off the floor
Don’t be such a grumpy bore
Someone’s knocking on your door
Answer it!

Don’t let the moment pass you by
You need to spread your wings to fly
You won’t know until you try
Give it a go!

Good things come to those who wait
But don’t waste time, don’t hesitate
Grab those reins before it’s too late
A golden opportunity!

Don’t leave things to happenstance
Step out and do a bold new dance
This could be your one big chance
Carpe diem!

  1. I liked this. I can’t stand when people just hang around waiting for great things to fall in their lap. (Sometimes that happens, but not always!) Go out there and get it, do it! 😀 Great job, Nancy! 👏
