Sandy stole a glance at her reflection, already knowing what to expect. Still, she let out a groan of utter dismay; her entire face and neck were covered with bright red rosacea blotches.

“Hate” is a strong word but Sandy couldn’t help it; this skin disorder had lousy timing! Today was her big interview at the tv station for the job of meteorologist. The one day she needed to look her best and she was a mess!

With great reluctance Sandy called the station manager to cancel her interview. What a bummer!

  1. I sympathize with her. Last fall, I had a bunch of meetings set up with prospective agents (about 50 over 4 days) and the day before I got a huge pimple right at the end of my nose. Not much you can do but just power through. 🙂

  2. l feel her pain! Hubby has rosacea, he discovered tannin is his trigger so he avoids all things with Tannin in ….he really misses a nice cup of ordinary tea! … luckily he can drink peppermint tea 💜💜

  3. Kinda funny and related, my husband is going to MC my moms celebration of life this weekend and he keeps breaking out in red patches on his face, he is freaking out! I told him it’s probably brought on my nerves, gotta relax! 😂

  4. Yes, what a bummer, indeed. But your post wasn’t a bummer at all. Thank you for using my words, but you did a great job incorporating a number of other prompts into a well-told 92-word story. Your storytelling never disappoints, Nancy.
