The sun through my
kitchen window
was beaming like a
supernova.

There was no wind,
not even the
slightest breeze.

I thought I might
go blind but I
could not
look away.

On this frigid
January day
I saw a fleeting
hint of
summer.

  1. I love your poem Nancy and wow that Manfred Man took me back. I am dancing around with my best friend Anne 1973 Married two years new born in arms….she was still unattached…. No shoes could only afford one pair….living in the back of beyond in Devon…. Missing London and my friends… I can see us now 💜💜
