Dectina Refrain, Poem

Sightseeing

Written for dVerse Poetics – “Art In Nature”
where the challenge is to write a poem in
response to one of the featured photos.
I have chosen to write a Dectina Refrain
for the photo which appears below.

What
do your
eyes espy,
Sir Butterfly?
A bee buzzing by?
Watching all around you
with your four eyes, or just two?
I wonder if your mother said
she had eyes in the back of her head!
What do your eyes espy, Sir Butterfly?

      1. You’re very welcome and thank you for the smile… with a third eye/infinity tattoo in between my daughter’s shoulders, she does have an eye in the back of her head. I teased her with that mom joke when she got it. Not sure that was the goal, when she designed it. 🤔 Thank you and a lovely weekend to you! 🌼

    1. Oh, you mean back to the days of my mother yelling at me from the other room to stop doing whatever I was doing when she couldn’t even see me and, at the perfect moment, as if she was reading my mind, she’d shout “I have eyes in the back of my head!” Is that what you were referring to? 😂

      Thanks so much! 😊
