There are those who take a chance
Flying by the seat of their pants
Starting up a new romance
Oh, what a thrill

Others are afraid to lose
Comfy in their old brown shoes
Comes a time they have to choose
You need a little faith

Sometimes things just turn out bad
The outcome makes us very mad
We bitch and moan and feel so sad
This is the way of life

Other times it feels so good
Just the way you hoped it would
You can do this, you really should
Or else you’ll never know

Dare to try something bold
Break out of your boring mold
Plunging into waters cold
At least you gave it a shot

Life is like a baseball game
Not every pitch is the same
Some are wild, others tame
You need to take a swing

Give it the old college try
Don’t let life just pass you by
Stare a challenge in the eye
Do nothing and you will fail
