Written for Ronovan Writes Ovi Poetry Challenge #55
where ‘joy’ is our inspiration and for Moonwashed Weekly
Prompt of ‘feathery blues’. This is my ovi poem.

Gardening is my source of joy
I talk to plants and they act coy
But then sprout like a teenage boy
They’re the center of attention
I have some lovely blue heather
Blossoms airy like a feather
Changeable as the weather
From baby blue to electric
My plants don’t ask much of me
Tender care I give willingly
And the best part is it’s free
Just a little of my time
I would like to be a plant
One to delight and enchant
Like a painting by Rembrandt
Sitting on a piano.

A calming and nurturing stroll through your garden, Nancy. 💙🪶No ordinary plant you would be! I imagine you would sway with the music and shine in the light! 🎹

That’s beautiful, Michele. Why be ordinary when we can be extraordinary?

Delightful, Nancy, and you mastered the Ovi. I talk to my plants too. They are good listeners! LOL

The Ovi is so much fun to do, isn’t it?!
I have some of my best conversations with my plants! 😂😎

Yes, it is a great form! At least plants listen and don’t form opinions. LOL😊

Lovely! I just got in from watering my babies. Humidity is already rolling in, and the garden just loves it. Me, not so much, but I tell myself this is what we think about in February.

Oh good Lord! It’s so humid and hot, it’s like a steam bath; I’m glad I went outside to water before my shower! Even the birds are remarkably quite today. We filled the birdbath with ice cubes; they’re really chillin’ now! 😎

I filled it up, it immediately started melting, but I did see a bird basking! Thanks!
