Poem

Go Gently: A Musette

For Jim

Sudden
Dreams in the night
Undone

Weeping
A pain too deep
Creeping

Broken
No goodbye words
Spoken

  1. This is when we are glad we are writers because we can express our pain and let it out. I truly believe it is one of the best ways to heal. Saved me from losing my mind 🙂 Hugs.

    1. You’re so right, Dale! As I mentioned to Vee, I’m not consciously thinking about it; the words seem to find me at times like this. It’s good to be writing again; I need this outlet. I read my work to Bill and we cry, talk and laugh. It’s a healing process for which I am endlessly grateful.

Hugs received and reciprocated, my friend. 🫶🏼

    1. Thank you for your kind words and for the introduction to Kate. I knew once I heard her song I would be including it somehow; this felt right.

I sent the song to my sister-in-law, Jim’s widow; she cried and cried and sent me ten kisses.

      Thanks, dear Clive. ♡

      1. One thing about grief is that it can lie beneath the surface…and you don’t think about it consciously…till suddenly it hits you like a tsunami. You’re most welcome, Nancy–now and then folks in blogging make deep connections, enriching one anothers lives.💙
