Birthday Thursdays

Welcome to Birthday Thursdays! Each week I will feature someone from the world of music whose birthday falls on that day. There won’t be any chit chat from me, no facts and figures – just some great tunes (and an occasional surprise). Check it out right here every Thursday and enjoy the music.

  1. If I heard a Quincy Jones song I don’t think I would be able to say … that’s a Quincy Jones song. After playing a few, yes there is a certain rhythm etc that one could identify. I like Bossa Nova and Birdland.

That was interesting about Las Vegas. I’ve never been there. Don’t want to go.

    1. I apologize for this very late reply, Sighs. No idea how I missed all these comments.

Great music videos by Quincy Jones; I was extremely impressed by what he said about Sinatra in Las Vegas.

      Thanks for leaving your comments.

  2. Quincy Jones was a master inventor of musical hybrids, he has shuffled pop, soul, hip-hop, jazz, classical, African and Brazilian music into many dazzling fusions, traversing virtually every medium, including records, live performance, movies and television.
