Yesterday’s prompt from Sadje
for Just Jot it January 2024.
Here’s my tardy but heartfelt reply.
☕️ 🥯

With
Humble
Gratitude
For my husband
Who, every morning,
Without hesitation,
Brings me my coffee in bed.
Sometimes he’ll bring a warm bagel.
I couldn’t ask for anything more!
With humble gratitude for my husband.

I didn’t do that when I was married, perhaps that’s where I went wrong!

Hmm. Could be, Keith.
Which one are you talking about? 😂

I usually have a cup of tea at breakfast and another with my tea 🙂 but a coffee at lunch-time.

I need my coffee in the morning.
During the day it’s a mixed bag.

The husband also knows not to talk until I’ve finished at least half the cup!

This lovely routine began after I had knee surgery and
became an every-morning occurrence. I’m not complaining!

I fell and injured my hip bone last May. Nobody offered me that service. 😦 But I would have preferred it be brought to my computer where I finally slept at night. lol Well, almost.

Haha! I’ve spent many nights in my recliner, only to wake up at 2AM with my laptop still in my lap and my husband snoring away like a freight train!
In all honesty, I was immobile as the result of a TKR and only got up to use the bathroom. I ate all my meals (cooked and delivered by family and friends) in my recliner until I was able to move around.
Bill’s a pretty swell guy!
