It was painfully obvious that I hadn’t practiced my piano lessons during the week.
When questioned why, I offered the same old tired excuse: “I didn’t have time”.
My teacher looked at me and said something I will never forget: “You have all there is”.
Think about it.

Excellent post, Nancy! I never say, I don’t have time, as I don’t want to listen the same thing from the doctor.

You’re so right Michele! No one knows when we will shuffle off this mortal coil. We’ve each been given all the time there is. 🌹

Now thinking about all the time I’ve wasted this week. Except for weeds. I’ve pulled way to many weeds!

It sure is, D! When I was finally savvy enough to grasp what he was saying, the meaning of his message became very profound.

Another time I tried to get out of my lesson by calling my teacher and saying I wouldn’t be there because it was raining! Thinking I was so clever, she called my bluff by saying it was only rain and I wouldn’t melt. She ended up coming to my house instead so I was doomed regardless!
Funny, I don’t remember being such a little conniver! 🤣

We all have the same number of hours in a day, it’s just how we spend them.
Love this musical piece. Wonderful.

Thanks, Penn! Just the way my teacher said “You have all there is” made me realize time is a precious commodity not meant to be squandered. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts today.

Time is there for the taking, Nancy… it’s just how it’s taken when we find ourselves running out of it. I always fill my time… although not necessarily wisely, in hindsight. 😊

If there’s one thing I can’t tolerate it’s being bored; I find there’s always something to occupy my time and keep the brain cells from drying up. 😊
