RDP Tuesday: rigamarole

Written for RDP, where Martha asks us
to get creative with the word “rigamarole”.
Thanks, Martha! Here’s where the prompt took me.

Yesterday I met with the hand surgeon; he was pleased with my healing and cleared me for physical therapy starting today. He also spoke to the therapist who will make a smaller, custom-fit splint for me. I can’t wait to get my hand moving again and to be rid of the ginormous splint I’ve been in for the past month. I hope the new one is simpler with fewer straps to do and undo. I’m tired of all this rigamarole and ready to get back to my normal life. It’s been 11 months since the injury that started all this. Enough!

    1. Glad you like the music, Ange; I do too! Thanks for your good wishes …. that really means a lot to me. ☺️ I’m home from therapy and I made it through in one piece! We’re taking it very slowly this time. ❤️

    1. It really has, Jim. It’s been frustrating physically, emotionally, and psychologically for both me and Bill who has done everything for me since the beginning. The man is exhausted (but never complained) and I desperately want my independence, for my sake as well as his. I really think if anything goes wrong during PT, I’m going to learn to live with it. I am cautiously, optimistic, even if it doesn’t sound like it. Thank you, my friend.
