Written for RDP, where segoil asks us
to get creative with the word “tonic”.
Thanks, Heather! Here’s where the prompt took me.

This morning I have an appointment with my hand doctor to discuss why …. after just one therapy session last week …. a previously unaffected finger is now unresponsive, immovable, and causing me pain.
Will I need specialized physical therapy or will there be yet another surgery in my near future?
Is it too early for a gin and tonic? I mean, seriously.

I wanted to join you in a G&T when I read the latest update… healing vibes Nancy… 💞 don’t think the worse – I once thought I would be a wheelchair, against all odds I managed to have 2 seasons of skiing again… and although I have flares – I still walk and dance on the good days… you are in good hands (no pun intended there.!) 💞

Thanks so much, Suzanne. 😌 I truly appreciate your love and encouragement. I’m doing well; it takes a lot to bring this old bird down! 😊 We both certainly have wonderful support systems which are vital to our good health, both physical and mental. I wish you many more good days filled with dancing! 💃🏻 Thanks, my friend. Take good care. ❤️

Gin and tonic, is that where you dip the finger to heal? Get well, soon.

Gin and tonic was the first thing I thought of, too. Good luck today!! Use your good left hook if he doesn’t say the right thing.
