There’s a great story behind this song. Jeff Lynne, the founder of ELO, had been experiencing terrible depression and developed writer’s block. The band had rented a house in the Alps to spend a few weeks writing songs and it rained non-stop. Nothing was getting done. Finally, the rain stopped and the sunshine and beautiful blue sky so inspired Jeff Lynne that he wrote this song and the other songs on the album. It’s such happy, feel good music and I’m delighted to share it today. Thanks very much, Lisa. ♥️
