RDP Sunday: silhouette

Written for RDP, where drkottaway asks us
to get creative with the word “silhouette”.
Thanks, Doc! Here’s where the prompt took me.

The Rays were an American group formed in New York City in 1955. Their biggest hit single was “Silhouettes“, a moderately-slow doo-wop song that reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1957. It sold over one million copies and was awarded a gold disc. “Silhouettes” was also released by the Diamonds in 1957 reaching #10 and later in a slightly faster cover version by the UK band, Herman’s Hermits, in 1965, reaching #5 on the US charts. Bob Dylan recorded a still-unreleased version from his Basement Tapes sessions in the late 1960s.
