Here’s where the prompt took me.
Her grandmother’s determined hands moved with the grace of quiet purpose, stitching together scraps of memory and fabric. Life, she always said, is just patchwork … beautiful precisely because nothing matches.

Carole had a patchwork throwover rug, her friend who made it for, called it “Tessellated Stars” … and I draped over her coffin … 🥰💕
