Poetry, Word Prompt

The Cure-All

Written for RDP, where Martha asks us
 to get creative with the word “panacea”.
Thanks, Martha! Here’s where the prompt took me.

We scroll through feeds for inner peace,
One click away from our panacea.
Buy this pill, try that idea;
Let dopamine hits never cease.

The algorithm knows our ailment,
Serves up the balm we crave today.
Tomorrow brings a new installment:
Different cure, same price to pay.
