Written for RDP, where Martha asks us
to get creative with the word “junk”.
Thanks, Martha! Here’s my take.

If we had as much junk in our basement as seen in the image above, I’d be thrilled. I could clean out that amount of stuff in an afternoon. No, our basement looks more like the pic below. We have so much accumulated crap, it’s difficult to even move around …. and it’s mostly my husband’s. He has saved dozens of boxes of work files …. and he retired 16 years ago! Some of the companies he did business with don’t even exist anymore! Whenever I need something from the basement, I send him to look for it; he’s the only one who knows where anything is. He claims to have a method to his madness. Me? I just see the madness.

You tie him up. I’ll back up the pick-up truck. We’ll have it cleaned out in no time, Nancy! 😂
My husband is an old computer tech. We have more wires and cables and computer parts…aggravating as all get out. I keep telling him if he goes before me, all this stuff is going in the trash so he would be wise to clean it up now.
What’s that saying? In one ear and out the other? Pretty much. 🙄😬

Yes, especially since I can’t go down there and clean like I would like!

If you think your basement is a mess, then you should look at my garage, as everything is piled up to the ceiling and there is no way to find anything.

Shit happens, as they say, and it’s found its way into my basement and your garage! Thanks, Jim.

I think Forrest Gump said that.

Good one. Junk does pile up. We don’t have a basement or attic, so everything is out in the garage. Couldn’t get the car in there for sure. 🙂

Sometimes I wish we didn’t have a basement or attic! Thanks, Barbara.

Yep! I’m married to a hoarder, and we now have a barn. Not a good combo.
