Written for RDP, where bushboy asks us
to get creative with the word “catenary”.
Thanks, Brian! Here’s my musical take.

Everything was going smoothly until the lineman slipped and got caught up in a web of cables and wires. People ran out of their homes to take photos of the worker stuck on a pole 40 feet in the air, dangling from the catenary. What some people won’t do for a photo op!

wow – did not realize their were so many versions of “keep me hanging on” and until today, I only knew of the Kim Wilde 1980s one – but see it a Supremes song and it has been done by Vanilla Fudge too –

The Supremes had a #1 in the mid-60s on the Motown label. I’ve never really been a fan of the Supremes so I’m glad to see this cool cover by Kim Wilde. Thanks very much for sharing your music, Yvette. 🎶

Fudge was one of the first groups we saw at the legendary Fillmore East in the summer of ’68. We went to the Fillmore almost every weekend and saw dozens of acts over the few years it was in existence. What a great place and fantastic memories! Thanks for a fun word.
