Merry Christmas dear friends! Bill and I gave each other the same gift this year: bad colds with coughing and body aches! Halfway through Christmas Eve, Bill started feeling off; we left early and by the time he got himself settled in his recliner, he was sick as the proverbial dog. I woke up this morning with a head cold and sore throat. I immediately took Alka Seltzer Cough & Cold which cleared my head for the moment, but all our plans for today and Saturday in NYC have been put on hold. C’est la vie! As the saying goes: Make plans and God laughs. Germs …. the gift that keeps on giving.

Sorry to hear you are sick but at least you are home and not somewhere uncomfortable when feeling this way. I remember going to the Equine Affair in Massachusetts a long time ago and I was so sick, I had a fever, and I was so tired. I sort of fell asleep during one of the shows.

Being home is always the best place, especially when we’re not feeling well. We’re very cozy in our recliners, the fireplace is lit and there’s a Christmas movie on TV. Thanks, Christine.

My great nephew is a High School wrestler and after his last match, him and everyone on his team caught the flu. I hope you feel better soon, Nancy.

I feel for you. At least you have it together. The last cold I had knocked me sideways for two weeks and Hubby went down with it despite being careful not to catch it. At least his was not so bad, no horrendous cough, but a blocked nose and headache. Then he gave it back to me. The yo-yo flu is a bummer.
