Wintry Night

Written for MLMM Monday Wordle #455.
Our twelve prompt words are shown below.
Here’s where they took me. Thanks, Di!

cat, cheer, curl, festive, glass, hat,
lights, linger, photo, post, settle, tree

A cat in her knitted hat sits near
While festive lights bring warmth and cheer
I watch them linger, soft and bright
Against the glass on this wintry night

The tree stands tall with silver thread
As snowflakes curl and drift to bed
I settle in my favorite place
Where firelight dances on my face

A photo here, a memory there
Each moment held with tender care
I post my wishes to the sky
For peace and love as years drift by

  1. I do hope there is another to go until Christmas, … I’m snowed-in, with cascading pieces of paper flakes, and they are starting to taste like they’ve been overbaked … Oh well, it’s time for Frankie to take me for a walk …
I do like my poems underdone
    Despite our hot Christmas sun
With only a week to, I’ll have to run
Will there be time write another one …
