Shopper’s Lament

Written for MLMM Monday Wordle #452.
Our prompt words are: forget, reminder,
busy, time, passing, late, missed, find, out,
store, revolve, and schedule. Thanks, Di!
Here’s where the prompt words took me.

I forget every year, despite each reminder,
That December gets busy; more time would be kinder!
The days keep on passing, I’m running quite late,
And the gifts that I missed put my nerves in a state.

I find that the store is sold out of each treasure,
My careful gift schedule dissolved beyond measure.
So ‘round and around the mall I revolve,
A shopping dilemma I’m desperate to solve!

  1. I always wondered if there is there is still a need to keep working on perfecting ways to make sealing wax, but I guess that any improvements can lead to a more professional and consistent result for various applications.

  2. Great take Nancy. Thanks for joining in.
Luckily I don’t have a lot of people to buy for and food shopping can be purchased and frozen or put in a cupboard, so the bare minimum nearer the day. Years ago, I used to start buying gifts in September to spread the cost!

    1. I usually start my shopping in October; it was something I started when I was pregnant our first son and I was too big and too uncomfortable to go shopping. I like getting things done early and not being stressed. Thanks for some great words, Di.
