Written for Esther’s Laughing Along
With A Limerick #259. The prompt
word is ‘shopping’. This is my limerick.

Mrs. Johnson was shopping the mall
For gifts for her friends, one and all
The sales made her grin
And she loaded her bin
With the same things she purchased last fall!

Lol. Mrs. Johnson reminds me of certain family members! They always shop the sales, because it saves them money!

….. and they can’t remember what they bought from one year to the next, so everybody gets the same gifts year after year. Yeah, I know a couple of Mrs. Johnsons, too! 😂

My apologies, Glyn. Apparently, we passed on that US custom to the UK.

That is a funny one, and probably true in a lot of cases. That song is great to hear, too. 🙂

We got kicked out of all Bob Rivers’ parody songs; he’s almost as clever as Weird Al! Thanks, Barbara; I’m glad this one tickled your funny bone.

So easily done……….. the only difference is the price hike!

You got that right, Di! I can’t believe how many people are fooled by sale signs.

Being a number cruncher, I see beyond the discounts, which never takes the price back to the original after the last hike! I bought Hubby a snowman full of miniature biscuits for £1 last year. I saw the biscuits for £1 the other day, but the snowman tin with them in was £4.50! Recycle tin comes to mind……………………

I know! People trampling each other to death just doesn’t seem merry Christmas-like, doesn’t? 🤷🏼
That was a fabulous video! Thank you so much, dear Ivor 😆 🎶😂
