Please Pass The Pastiche: Thanksgiving Thursday Inspiration

Written for Thursday Inspiration #308
“Flip the Switch”. Here’s my response.

For this week’s Thanksgiving edition of Thursday Inspiration, Jim Adams asks us to respond to the challenge by using the prompt word turkey’, referring to the song “Flip the Switch” by the Rolling Stones or another one of their songs, or anything else we feel fits.

I’m always up for a little fun so here are a couple of parodies of songs you’re sure to recognize.

This is “Can’t Stuff This”, a take-off of M.C. Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This”

This is “I Will Survive”, inspired by the great Gloria Gaynor song

And for the coup de grâce of parodies! As Homer Simpson famously said, “He who is tired of Weird Al is tired of life.” This is “Weird Al Narrates Thanksgiving” by Penn Holderness …. a parody of Weird Al Yankovic parodies!

Hope all my WordPress friends who celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday had a wonderful day!

Many thanks to Jim Adams for this week’s inspiration. Thanks to you all for stopping by for a look and a listen.

That’s all she wrote, kids. See you on the flip side. 😎
