Today at RDP, sgeoil asks us
to get creative with the word.
‘gluttony’. Here’s my take.

Pigging Out
There once was a pig named Phil,
Whose love for food gave him a thrill.
He grew round as a ball;
It was gluttony, that’s all.
Now he’s King of the Trough, if you will!

Once a piggy, always a piggy … although I think I’ve proved that saying wrong! … A very whimsical limerick, followed by a very funny Al … 😍😊😎🎵

Pigs enjoy eating so much due to their omnivorous nature, keen sense of smell, and the fact that their domestic breed has been selectively bred to retain the high appetite of a wild boar piglet. This combination of biological traits allows them to eat a wide variety of foods and energetically seek out their next meal.

Eating like a pig can’t be good for its heart. Thanks, Jim.

Mine, too! He cracks me up!
This might interest you: my mother sometimes made a braciole from sliced pig skin she requested from the butcher. Made the same as a traditional beef braciole and simmered in her homemade sauce, it was light and one of my favorite things to eat. It’s been a long time; I don’t know how I’d feel about eating it today.

Oh my!!!! Never heard of this variation, but it was born of a time, I’m sure, when every part of the animal was respected.

It wasn’t tough, as one might expect, but extremely tender with a delicate flavor …. not at all pig-like!
