Haunted Woods

It was the middle of the night, and the forest was quiet. No bugs or animals disturbed the silence. There were no birds, no chirping until a low, eerie moan echoed through the trees. A chill ran down my spine as I realized I was not alone.

I cautiously made my way through the dense thicket, my heart pounding in my chest. The moon cast an eerie glow through the branches, illuminating the twisted figures of the trees. Suddenly, I heard a faint whisper, like a ghostly voice summoning me.

Panic set in as I quickened my pace, desperate to escape the haunting sound. But the whispers grew louder, surrounding me on all sides. I stumbled upon an old, decrepit cabin and, without thinking, I pushed through the creaking door.

Inside, I found a dusty journal, its pages filled with tales of lost souls trapped in the woods. As the moon slid behind the clouds, I realized I may never leave these haunted woods.
