Cousins Jacob and Abel loved spending weekends at their grandparents farm; there were so many interesting and unusual places to discover. One day, while out exploring, they came upon an abandoned structure; it was very odd-looking and the boys couldn’t figure out what it was. Just then Jacob laughed and said, “Look, Abel! The building has a face! Do you see it?”

Abel stared, squinted his eyes, wrinkled his nose and cocked his head of curly red hair until it hit him. “I see it, Jacob! The two rectangular windows are the eyes and the platform that’s jutting out is the nose!”

“And the ramp on the ground is the tongue leading to the mouth! Jacob laughed. “But I wonder what that thing is on the roof” he opined, scratching his head of pin straight black hair.

“Let’s go in and investigate!” Abel suggested excitedly.

So the boys happily ran up the building’s tongue, jumped through the mouth and were immediately swallowed up by the hungry abandoned building. And out from the spigot on top of the roof emerged a long, loud burp, followed by a cough of red and black strands and finally, a contented sigh.

Nancy’s Notes: This was the final Weekly Writing Prompt from Mike. He has started a new blog called The AI Grandad blog; every Wednesday he will post his new writing challenge, the AI Drabbing Challenge. I love this idea; instead of complaining and fighting AI, we’re going to embrace it and have some fun!

    1. Thanks, dear Keith! I really enjoyed writing this bit of fantasy!

LOL! This font makes it look like Al as in Weird Al Yankovic and not Artificial Imaging or whatever the I stands for! My experience with AI is limited to creating images for my stories so this could be interesting.
