Written for Esther’s Can You Tell A Story In – #305
in exactly 38 words using these four prompt words:
‘algorithm’, ‘waxwork’, ‘razzle-dazzle’, and ‘elicit’.
Here’s my flash in exactly 38 words.

Bernie in computer graphics said he followed the algorithm exactly but the waxwork museum opening night did not elicit the hoped-for rave reviews. Instead of Freddy Krueger’s “Slashin’ Razzle-Dazzle”, the theme was more like “Meltdown On Elm Street”!

Penn, I’m with you. These are not my types of movies and I avoid them at all costs! I’d much rather see Johnny Depp as a pirate or Jonathan Rhys Meyers as a Tudor king! Call me shallow …. I don’t care! 😂

Well, if that’s the case, Nancy, …I’m shallow too, …😂

Unrelated to your post, but I saw on the News this morning that they are making Spaceballs 2, so may the Swartz be with you.

I think Freddy Krueger and Michael from Halloween (the original!!!) are my favourite horror characters.

Whatever floats your boat, Matt. I’m really not a slice and dice horror movie fan. I appreciate Hitchcock and the real old movies with Bela Lugosi and Vincent Price instead of today’s gore.

I’m not familiar with the real old, but I’m a big fan of Hitchcock – Psycho, Rear Window, Dial M for Murder & Vertigo. The original Nightmare on Elm St and Halloween are modern classics IMHO.
