She is much too ravishing to be a widow.

With great propriety, she sits with downcast eyes at the foot of her husband’s coffin.

Her considerably attentive stepson stands behind her, a conciliatory hand on her shoulder.

His thumb caresses her velvet neck over-much.

  1. Thank you so much, Nancy, I knew the music, but I didn’t know the title, and I think I’ve lost the CD it was on, Albinoni adagio, … it’s an amazing piece one of Rob’s favourites, and now I’ll be able to order it again, … it’s so compelling, … it almost reverberates through you as it plays so much with the emotions, …and thumbs? stroking with the thumb can be so telling, .. methinks, …💙

    1. I adore this piece, Penn; it is so powerful and passionate. I’m delighted to bring it to you and Rob. It’s on a CD of baroque music which I kept in my car for those long Sunday afternoon drives. New cars no longer come with CD players; some don’t even have radios as everyone has a phone. The CD is now on my phone playlist.
A smooth stroke of the thumb is incredibly intimate, sensual and passionate …. particularly when there’s the chance of being observed. 🖤
