Cinquains Revisited
. I have written a
 Mirror Cinquain, a 10-line, single stanza poem
with a syllable pattern of 2–4–6–8–2–8–6–4–2.

Whispers,
where rivers swell
with secrets they believe.
Warm winds hum tunes through trembling leaves.
The moon
dances with its own reflection.
Stars blink awake with hope.
Lovers embrace.
Hearts skip.

  1. Nicely done, Nancy, and I love the way you stretched out the eight-syllable line ‘Warm winds hum tunes through trembling leaves’, and the image of the moon dancing with its own reflection, accompanied by Van the man, no less!
