Written for Cinquain Poetry Prompt #15.
Our inspiration word is “thrive”. I have
written a Mirror Cinquain, a 10-line,
single stanza poem with a syllable pattern
of 2-4-6-8-2-8-6-4-2.

First step
A seed of hope
A bit taller each day
Scraped knees and victories blurring
We thrive
The world opens up wide and new
Whispers from sun and rain
Each question asked
We learn

Yes, we definitely learn taking life’s steps, Nancy, and thrive. … it’s 5:30 pm, … we’ve had pouring rain. (yaaay!! for the garden, 💦). … and here comes the evening Sun, …🎶 and off I go singing, hopefully not bringing the rain back!!🎶…💙

We have to keep learning and going with the flow; if not, we’ll be in a heap of trouble. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Penn.
