Written for Cinquain Poetry Prompt 9.
Our inspiration word is “brave”.
Here’s where my thoughts went.

wee sprout
so pale and new
facing the wind and snow
no sun, no sky, just cold, waiting
to be

Lovely little poem and a great choice of music, what’s not to like?

As I like say “From little things, big things grow” and ELO is the perfect music/video, Nancy … 3.00 am and I can’t catch up … today’s little poem took all day… I wanted to get my idea across … but I was stuck for words and couldn’t find my rhythm 😊🌏📖

It happens sometimes, dear Ivor, usually when I’m over-tired or stressed. You’ll find your stride. ☺️
Thanks! I love this ELO song! 🎶♡

I suppose I’ve been overdoing it lately, although basically the life of a writer and a “blogger” is a challenging one for a slow old bloke like me …

I don’t believe you are either! 😎
Saw my doctor today who is from Australia; I told her about “my friend from Geelong” and she said it’s a very lovely and cultural area. How fortunate you are, dear Ivor! 😊

Nice and simple. Makes you wonder what plants think after sprouting up in those conditions? Ooops, I made a mistake, or, I sort of dig this weather.

Great comment, Phil. I talk to my plants all the time and I know they hear me, even though they’re usually pretty hush-hush.

I pruned back my two Salvias last week, and now they have new flowers and the Bumble Bees are happy. Bees and healthy plants, one of my favorite things to work on. I play music on my patio, stream to a soundbar via Amazon music, and I do believe my plants dig it.

A nice poem, and thank you for not playing Phil Collins!

No danger of that; just my usual ‘confuse ’em with the story title‘ twist!
Thanks, Clive.

Thank you so much, Nancy. Had more to say, like how striking your image was and how creative you are with music, but sleep was calling, then work this morning. Life! 🙄😆
