Giselle had never been this happy.

Henry carried her over the threshold; laughing and kissing, they stumbled onto the floor, a cloud of French lace.

β€œWelcome home, Mrs. Banks.” Henry kissed his bride. β€œCome! Let me show you the place.” And holding hands, they ran up the stairs.

Henry threw open the bedroom door; Giselle gasped.

β€œIs this some kind of sick joke, Henry?”

β€œWhat do you mean?” he responded, ever obtuse.

β€œThis! You’ve created a shrine to Lily.”

β€œShe was my wife, Giselle.”

β€œNow I am, Henry! Choose …. a ghost or me.”

She stormed off before he could answer.
