Cinquain. Our inspiration is
“boom”. This is my Cinquain.

KABOOM!
Sudden crashing
Rumbling fills the heavens
Nature’s powerful symphony
Thunder
Once still
Now the sky splits
Primal scream in the night
Shredding the silence to tatters
Lightning
Mighty
Low distant boom
Dances of light and sound
Heavy with the promise of rain
Storms rage

I do miss the real thunderstorms of my childhood in Ohio. No where on the other coast seems to have them with as much ferocity.

I’m a fan of thunderstorms, too, especially when we’d vacation in Montauk. There’s nothing quite like a storm over the ocean; I’ve never seen such intense lightning as out there.

My cats get frightened when they hear the loud boom from the weather.

Unfortunately, many animals are like that. It must be very scary for them when they’re alone during a storm. Thanks Jim.

Thanks very much, Penn. I was quite happy with the way this came together. And having a shirtless Jim Morrison to look at is that much better!
