    1. The verse is my creation and the song was my idea but the mention of Adelaide Crapsey was included in our prompt for this new challenge. I was not familiar with her before learning about the cinquain; tragic is an appropriate word. I’m pleased to know you enjoyed my post, Clive. Thank you!

      1. I’ve posted a couple of times with poetry for November, my least favourite month. She wrote a very poignant poem about it, when she already knew she was dying. A brave woman.

        1. I don’t recall reading your posts about Adelaide.

So much loss, sadness and illness in her young life. She had many privileges in life but was unable to see them through; who knows what more of an impact she would have made had she lived. Thanks again, Clive.

            1. It’s incredible when I think of all the different posts we read every day; after a while, they all start to become a big blur! That was just a few months ago and I commented on it but just now it felt like I was reading it for the first time. Excellent write with lovely poetry.
