The noise startled us, two teenage girls home alone for the first time. My sister stood there wondering what to do, but I was more decisive and immediately went to the phone.
“Police! Help! Someone’s breaking into my house!”

I don’t know how much good it did to call Sting and his buddies, I guess he could have clubbed he guy with his bass. Back in 2009, when Momo and I lived in Georgetown, Tx, we had a similar incident. Halloween night, and we had returned from dinner at the golf club, around 10 PM. Doorbell rang, Momo answered it thinking it was late candy moochers. Two foreign looking dudes around twenty or so stood at the door, no bag for candy, just glaring at her. I heard her shout, get outa here, and could tell from her voice it was serious, so I grabbed my 9mm Pistola and ran to the door, they took off like a bullet, of which I fired a few over their heads just to get the point across. The next day it was reported they tied up and robbed elderly couple the next street over from us. I didn’t call the cops.

In light of the recent horrific home invasions popping up across the US by goddamn soul-less barbarians, I’d say you and Momo are extremely lucky. Bill had the house barbarian-proofed; I feel like I’m living in Fort Knox and that’s ok.

We both pack heat, me a Walther 9mm and her a Smith &Wesson 380, and she’s a better shot than me. We always carry arms when we travel especially after seeing the movie Nocturnal Animals which was filmed in west Texas.

I’d like someone to explain why there is no emoji for a gun. Don’t try to tell me it’s un-PC when there are emojis for knives, swords, bombs, dynamite, poison & missiles. Why, there’s even a freakin’ crossbow! The only gun emoji looks like a kid’s plastic toy. 🔫

This happened to my nephew! He surprised whoever was in the house when he arrived for lunch and the bugger ran off. Thank God it was another kid. Still…

My neighbor saw the guy and came running over with his massive German shepherd! That scared the guy off pronto, which was good, but it would have been better if the police got him.
