Very Short Story

In The Right Hands

Our gracious host, Rochelle, at Friday Fictioneers
asks us to use the photo below as inspiration

to write creatively in 100 words or less while
making every word count. This is my story.

Come in, little one. Look around to your heart’s content. But I must caution you not to touch anything. The time will come for that and you must be patient. You have many questions in your eyes, my child, and in the slight tilt of your head.

I see you’ve noticed my book. It’s pleasing, is it not, this book of mine? It’s magic, you know. But then again, in the right hands, all books are magic. It’s true! You hold the key, child. Not in your pocket nor inside your shoe but in your mind and in your heart.

    1. Dear Rochelle,

I look at my 5 yr old granddaughter, Colette, and I am continually impressed by her kind and loving heart, her superior intelligence, her resilience and acceptance and her ability to forgive ….. and I pray that she will only continue to grow into an adult with those same attributes. I believe she will be an unstoppable positive force in our world.

Thank you for your very kind and gracious comments.

      Shalom
