This is my response … a Reverse Dectina.

Gourds!
Do not
be afraid!
I bring good news!
Unto you this day
I bequeath a power:
transformation most fearsome!
Pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns!
Grotesque faces send chills up the spine!
Gourds! Do not be afraid! I bring good news!
Grotesque faces send chills up the spine!
Pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns!
Transformation most fearsome!
I bequeath a power
unto you this day.
I bring good news!
Be afraid?
Do not,
Gourds!

  1. Wonderful poem Nancy, I review poetry past and present on my own page.

I hope you don’t mind, but I did that for this poem. I’ve shared the link below. If you have any issues, I’ll immediately take it down.

Congrats, on your success to date, and I’m looking forward to seeing more great work from you.

You may find the link to the review here.

    1. No issues here, Adam. Thank you for enjoying and sharing my Dectina!

I write for my own enjoyment; if, in the process, I can entertain my readers, I’ll take that as a bonus. Not all my attempts are this successful, believe me!
