This is my quadrille.
“Light me, handsome” was all she said.
I looked up from my drink. She was the most gorgeous dame I’d ever laid eyes on. I lit her cigarette, then mine.
“Care to buy me a steak, handsome?”
“Baby, I’d buy you the whole cow.”

This article also reminded me a sultry song called ‘Nothing’s gonna hurt you baby’ by ‘Cigarettes after sex’.

Great one, Nancy love the end.. and the song.. I just hated those cigarettes.. ooh and especially black. ugh lol.. My mom smoked and I hated the smell and never tried one.

Good for you never taking up the habit, even with a smoker in the house! You’re right … it really does stink! I quit smoking at least 30 years ago. I gave it up for Lent and never went back! 🚭

When I was a kid my parents bought a full size freezer. They joined a meat plan, chose the 1/2 cow option and filled the freezer with different cuts of meat. We ate like kings!
