This is “Mr. Big Stuff” by Jean Knight
*Cinquain is a short, usually unrhymed poem consisting of 22 syllables distributed as 2, 4, 6, 8, 2 in 5 lines. Line 1: Noun; Line 2: Description of opening noun; Line 3: Action; Line 4: Feeling or effect; Line 5: Synonym of the opening noun. The cinquain, also known as a quintain or quintet, is a poem or stanza found in many European languages; the origin of the form dates back to medieval French poetry.
** Edward G. Robinson was an American actor who was popular during Hollywood’s Golden Age and is best remembered for his tough-guy roles as gangsters in such films as Little Caesar and Key Largo.

I love the “tough guy” seagull. The photo really matched the poem.

Thanks, Kymber! I sure wouldn’t want to get in his way! That a good way to lose a finger … or, at the very least, your French fries! 😂

Dear Sighs … If not for you, I wouldn’t even know what a cinquain is! Thanks for giving me the inspiration. 😊

Now THERE’S a song that can blast me out of bed and make me reach for the Earthquake Cake! And of course, the dive-bombing, french fry-stealing gull is front and center. 😂

Very clever – never heard of that style of poetry.
And how true it is of gulls – that looks one mean mutha in the pic!
(And big props for the music! I love that track. I fist heard it on ‘Soccer A.M.’ a sort of cult, football themed TV programme in the UK. IT must have been @ mid-90s, and it was given a new lease of life. (I was one of those who tracked it down on some obscure compilation album.) 🙂

Nice memory, Cee Tee, from a little cinquain.
Next time you have the chance to observe seagulls, there’s always one with a thick neck walking around like he owns the joint. All he needs is a bit fat cigar!
Thanks much!
