April Showers: A Haibun

Written for Weekend Writing Prompt #359 (tempest, 29 words)
Moonwashed Weekly Prompt (gilt-edged) and
Weekly Prompts Weekend Challenge
(pointless)

It’s springtime! I love to see my flowers growing but sudden storms wreak havoc on defenseless, gilt-edged blossoms.

roses madly thrashed
spring’s wild tempest rains attack
my pointless garden

      1. That will always be “ours” 😉 Which is really funny as I am only just learning about poetry styles and stuff and am not knowledgeable but this, THIS I knew 😉

        Prego amica cara! 💞

    1. Thank so much, Clive. I’m no great poet but I enjoy testing the waters. And who can pass up a 29-word challenge?

That version of the Stones song was new to me; I rather like it. They were only middle aged then …. still wet behind the ears! 🤣

      1. I can, for one! I’ve never attempted poetry, apart from the occasional limerick 🤣

I’ve heard that version by the Stones before, and I like the way they speed up the original, good though that is too.
