Written for Weekend Writing Prompt #359 (tempest, 29 words)
Moonwashed Weekly Prompt (gilt-edged) and
Weekly Prompts Weekend Challenge (pointless)

It’s springtime! I love to see my flowers growing but sudden storms wreak havoc on defenseless, gilt-edged blossoms.
roses madly thrashed
spring’s wild tempest rains attack
my pointless garden

Nice little haibun there, Nancy! Well done!

Dale, I will always remember the day you walked me through my first haibun ‘live” on WordPress … not once but three times until I got it right!

That will always be “ours” 😉 Which is really funny as I am only just learning about poetry styles and stuff and am not knowledgeable but this, THIS I knew 😉
Prego amica cara! 💞

I love your words and the way you linked the prompts. The Stones were a real bonus – a great version of one of their classics.

Thank so much, Clive. I’m no great poet but I enjoy testing the waters. And who can pass up a 29-word challenge?
That version of the Stones song was new to me; I rather like it. They were only middle aged then …. still wet behind the ears! 🤣

I can, for one! I’ve never attempted poetry, apart from the occasional limerick 🤣
I’ve heard that version by the Stones before, and I like the way they speed up the original, good though that is too.

Gardens do have a way of coming back around. Particularly the weeds. Nice combo of challenges.

That’s exactly what happened yesterday …. crazy wild storm came out of nowhere. It’s much calmer today and I’m sure the garden will look just fine with the sun shining on it.
Thank you, Sighs.

It took me three attempts to do my first one right, and that was with a WP friend walking me through it via the comments! 😂
Thanks so much, Vee. Happy Sunday!
