WARNING: THIS BLOG WAS NOT CREATED FOR BEATLEMANIACS!
If you’re on the fence about the Beatles or if you just don’t like them,
this blog is for you. My goal is not to convert you; it’s to expose you
to the lesser-known Beatles songs we don’t hear day in and day out.
These great tunes will show you just how amazing the Beatles are.
Of course, if you are a Beatles fan, pull up a chair and enjoy the tunes!

Welcome back to Feb Fab Faux Four!
Before we go any further, I want to acknowledge and thank my friend Misky for her incredible AI graphic. I love this funny Fab Faux Four! Thanks, Misky!
Let’s continue with the music. It’s time for the ladies to take the stage! This cover was done by a number of groups including Aerosmith and Cheap Trick but I wanted to shake things up a bit by brining in a true rock goddess. Let’s see what you think of this one; it’s bound to give your Saturday morning a good kickstart!
Here’s a song many music critics consider the first heavy metal song …. it’s “Helter Skelter” by the Beatles
🪲
Check it out! This is Pat Benatar with her rendition of “Helter Skelter”
Clearly, I need to bring more ladies into the mix; I hope you liked this one by Pat Benatar. Share your thoughts with me …. the good and the bad!
I’ll be back tomorrow with something smooth and laid back for your Sunday morning. There’s more coming up this month so stick around!
See you on the flip side. 😎

PS – If any video won’t play for you, I’ve provided the name of the song and who did it so you can find it on YouTube. It’s a pain in the ass but it does happen from time to time. My apologies.

First time hearing Benatar’s cover. Not bad! I’m used to the U2 cover, where Bono says, “This is the song Charles Manson stole from The Beatles. We’re stealing it back.”

Oh, God! I sorta cringe every time I hear that! It’s disturbing that people associate the song about an amusement park ride to that maniac.
I liked Pat’s version, too, and figured more people were familiar with U2’s cover so it was time for a change.

Nice to change things up once in awhile, you’re right 🙂

Pat’s version sounds sweet. Thank you, Pat, for sharing it.

I’m not crazy about this song but I think Pat Benatar’s voice brings it to a way better level!

I listened to Pat’s version first, and thought she must’ve made some drastic changes to the original version. Then, the Beatles one sounded almost the same. 😳
I was like ‘this is the Beatles’‽
I’m not sure about this song, Nancy, being honest. For a first hearing, for me, I wasn’t grabbed by it as I have been by some of your other songs (I’ve heard for the first time).
I know you’re a Beatles superfan, so feel a tad sad for saying this. 😊

HAHAHA!! Don’t feel sad, not even a tad. I may be a Beatlemaniac but I’m not crazy! If someone doesn’t like the Beatles or a song or if the don’t agree with my comments, I’m not going to have a meltdown. I expected to get controversial comments and I’m enjoying them. How boring would it be if we all yessed each other to death? 😎

Yes. I agree. 🤣 (Sorry, couldn’t resist!)

As do I. I’m also crazy about the original. The volume always gets turned up when this one comes on.

Love her voice, and she makes this song more interesting.

She’s definitely one of the best in this genre
but she can sing an old standard like nobody’s business!

Not my favourite Beatles song, by a long way. I usually like Pat Benatar too but on this one I’m prepared to make an exception.

Probably one of my least favorite Beatles songs. And Pat Benatar’s cover? Well, if you can’t say something nice….
