KIND OF A DRAG

It was a busy night at The Cock β€˜n Bull. The second act was about to start when Paige Turner came running out of her dressing room screaming that she’d been robbed.

Imagine my embarrassment when I, Angie O’Plasty, queen of the Chicago circuit drag queens, was accused of trying to absquatulate with all the girl’s expensive wigs!

Of course it was a complete misunderstanding and I was exonerated when my nemesis, Brook Trout, was found with the stolen goods.

Talk about a hair-raising experience!

    1. Thanks so much, Carol Anne!
You should have heard some of the other stuff I came up with.
Let’s just say it would not have gotten a G rating by the censors!
Absquatulate really does sound like a bodily function, doesn’t it? πŸ˜‚

      1. I’d like to read it again, too, but my friend Douglas had the only complete manuscript, (he was going to submit it to a mag for publication), when he had a massive heart attack whilst walking home from the newsagent. He died where he stood. His pseudonym was Guido. I was Mike Turbine-Hamilton. Claudia was Mrs Butterlark. There were three of us that kept that series running for a several years, and I’m the only one still alive. Proof that raunchy political humour takes no prisoners.

        1. Your comment is a story in itself, sis! πŸ˜‚
Poor Douglas … well, sounds like he went quickly!
If you ever get your hands on these manuscripts, you-know-who is up for a bit of raunchy humor … political or otherwise! πŸ˜‚

I love the drag version of a murder mystery! Great names, Nancy.
I have a queen in one of my ongoing serial stories, she’ll be back soon… 🀐

    1. It’s a fab word, isn’t it? I wonder if Sammi expected this type of reaction. I can’t wait to see what some other people came up with for this word. It definitely has a certain salacious ring to it, doesn’t it? πŸ˜‚
Oh, please send a link to your drag serial stories. I’d love to read them!

      1. It is a fabulous word, Nancy. Not one I would ever squeeze into everyday conversation, but fabulous all the same.
As for my drag character, well, I haven’t quite revealed yet that she/he is a drag queen. To me, as I know, it’s obvious… but to the other characters and the rest of the world maybe not so. She’s one of my superheroes, by the way. In superhero stories, identity is a fun thing to play with! I’ll give you a nod when my next series starts! 😊😎
