WHAT A SCAM

My husband’s birthday is coming up soon.

He always says not to buy anything but I do and a card, too.

Have you checked out the prices of cards lately?

A Hallmark can cost as much as $8.00 or $9.00.

It’s paper, for crying out loud!

There’s no music or pop-ups – just a simple, do nothing card.

What a scam!

But he’s worth it.

  1. That is one brilliant video clip!
I make my own cards and have done for years now as I got fed up with naff cards and nice verses, or nice cards with naff verses. I get a lot of pleasure making them and those I end them too seem to like them.

  2. Let’s remember, though, that we’re paying for someone’s art & creativity (I don’t know what their actual cut of profits is).
I’ve switched over to “art cards” in box collections, and write my own message, though.
Because it’s still fun to get a beautiful thing through the mail. 😊

    1. Absolutely! This is all very true, Liz. I have a box with dividers to store my greeting cards. It’s something I enjoy doing. The day after Thanksgiving is my traditional day to start writing out my Christmas cards; while other people are out being trampled while shopping on Black Friday, I’m home sipping my coffee, turkey soup simmering on the stove as I start addressing my cards. It’s one of my favorite days of the year. Thanks for your comment, Liz.
