I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. RA frequently affects tendons, often causing inflammation in the tendon sheaths, particularly in the hands, wrists, and feet. Chronic inflammation can lead to tendon weakening, scarring, and, in severe cases, partial or complete ruptures, causing significant functional impairment.
There is a new rupture in my hand and another surgery will be needed. An MRI this week will tell us more. No date yet for the surgery but I’m sure I won’t have to wait very long. I have an appointment with the Rheumatologist next week to plan my treatment going forward.
I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this but it has; all I can do now is deal with it and look to the future. Thanks to each of you for all your support, comments and good wishes. You’re the best! ♥️
