Written for Cinquain Poetry Prompt
where our inspiration is “need”.
Here’s my cinquain.

Needed
a quiet word,
yet it carries the weight
of belonging, being someone’s
shelter.
To be
the one they seek
when life gets too heavy;
to hold another’s fragile hope
is grace!
Reward
lives not in praise,
but in silent moments
when someone reaches and finds you
still there.
